Incompetent

BJs put my private phone number on their orders for other customers. Those customers call me if there is anything wrong with their order. I get calls from all over the United States. I also get calls from their drivers trying to deliver. I have contacted them numerous times to take my phone number OFF. Their manager refused saying she couldn't help me. I've written corporate and nothing has been done to rectify this problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They take your money and after that you are on your own!

I wish there was a ZERO stars rating for your 800# Customer Care department. I purchased 2 fire pits, one on 5/14 and another on 5/16. Two days later I received a flyer and the fire pit price reduced from 199.99 to 129.99 so I called Customer Care since they were orders placed online. The first representative took the information and told me that a price adjustment of the $70 + tax for both orders was submitted and I should be receiving the credit shortly. I called yesterday since it had been 3 weeks with no refund. The second rep told me my case stated, "customer needs to go to the club and see a manager for the price adjustment since it was an online order picked up in store". He told me that the manager would be able to look up the case# and issue the refund. First of all, where was that communication back to the customer? I then went to the club yesterday and the manager told me they have no way to look up case numbers and I needed proof of the 129.99 price since the price was currently back to 199.99. So I AGAIN call Customer Care while at the Club and got the RUDIST representative I have EVER talked to. She told me it had been over 7 days and I could not get a price adjustment. I had already explained the entire story that I was told by the first representative within the 7-day grace period and she says, "oh well she made a mistake but I am not giving you $70 back." She honestly should be fired for her rude attitude. I advise that BJs hire customer service staff that actually "care" about their customers and give accurate information to them. I emailed this note to Customer Care asking for a manager to review and just got another generic email back about price adjustments are only done within 7 days. Honestly this email was not even read; they just pushed a button and spit out the generic “price adjustment” statement. I HAVE NEVER HAD WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE AND WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY MEMBERSHIP AT THE END OF THIS MONTH. SWITCH TO COSTCOs.
[Note: This review is for the Customer Care 800# staff. I have to say that the manager, Kathy, at the Derby CT club was very sympathetic and helpful.]

Charged me for membership after I canceled my membership a few weeks before

Definitely a horrible company. They charged me for membership after I canceled my membership a few weeks before. Had to call to get a refund.

First of I want to say if I could give…

First of I want to say if I could give a 0 star I would. I ordered a tv from BJ’s April 30th and still never got a the tv. I called over and over and Bj’s could not tell me anything. Their delivery company is Ceva Logistics and they told me that I would have to have contact Ceva myself. I waited sometime and called Bj’s again to just cancel my order, they cancelled my order but never refunded my money because they had to receive the tv back from Ceva first. Which is stupid because that has nothing to do with me and at this point this is stealing. I then called Ceva again and they said Bj’s never even contacted them about canceling the order or anything. I will never order from BJ’s online ever again. 41 days later and I still have not been refunded my money.

Due to the shortage of 3" tabs chlorine for pools, I was in a panic. Portsmouth,NH BJ's was out of stock. Customer Service recommended I check in daily for updates on availability. really didn't think more would come in due to the shortage in USA. Price gouging was absolutely going to happen. Not with BJ's! Called this a.m. they had some, I was there in 20 Minutes to pickup.These people are amazing. They go out of their way to assist the customer. Kudo's Portsmouth,NH !!

BJ'S WHOLESALE IS A JOKE WRAPPED IN A CON. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

BJ's wholesale is the worst membership base store did I ever came across. They treat their customers like children, and get over on them at every opportunity. Examples are when you sign up for a membership with BJ's wholesale bull crap club they automatically sign you up for their credit card whether you want it or not and when years up they automatically renew it without your permission and without letting you know and they also charge you late fees for this. That's not the worst that they do, their customer service probably is the worst quality that they have but they are definitely not above cheating their customers at every chance they get they are constantly rising their prices with excuses that make zero sense, they don't accept returns from their website they make you drive to a state that has a brick and mortar store to return an item even if it's damaged even if it's not the item that you ordered you have to drive to a state that has a brick and mortar store to return your item if they'll even take rather then discounting their products because it is a wholesale store like Costco and Sam's Club they do these weird coupons that are kind of a nightmare to use and don't work most the time. My biggest complaint personally is that they sell product on their website even though they don't physically have it in stock that's horrible business why would anybody do that? Computers keep up with inventory with just zero effort they know when it's time to reorder items that have been bought up before they run out but if an item says it's available on the website and you're able to order it and pay for it then they should have it in stock that's an organizational problem that they've been having for the better part of a decade or maybe for the past 25 years from what I'm reading their website wasn't not for 25 years obviously but from the reviews I'm reading their inventory issues over their entire existence has been nightmareish at best. They have an after hours bought for shadding to figure out customers problems so they don't have to I spent an hour and a half or 2 hours talking to this bot trying to figure out if could help with anything, it couldn't. I recoreded the conversation and it was hilarious, frustration, and mind boggling at the same time. So lets recap, they sell and advertise product that they don't have and getting a refund can be an absolute nightmare, their prices have been on a steady rise, Their delivery service is so imcompetent you would think a group of 10 year olds were in charge. The consistantly damage the items in route, show up with items with many missing pieces of which some customers recieve the missing pieces but most dont. Delivery is NEVER on time or even close. BJ"s has a consumer rating of a whopping 2.11 stars. WOW! They also rank 173 amoung marketplace sites. I couldnt find a review above 2 stars. Fair warning, STAY AWAY FROM BJ'S WHOLESALE!

Do not order online through BJS

We ordered a $1400 outdoor deck set two months ago, we have yet to see the set or the refund! But we have spent 8+ hours on the phone with BJS and metropolitan (delivery co) trying to solve the problem. No one can seem to find, reorder or help us with this issue... highly encourage you to shop elsewhere!

Poor service and very limited selection

I've been a member of BJs for several years. The selections (food, clothing) have seen significantly reduced over the last few years. It's very hard to find some items and all they seem to offer for clothes is their store brand. Which are of very poor quality.
I was a long time Sams club member and it was sooo much better. Larger selection. Fully stocked. And great prices on brand name clothes.
And the coupons are a pain. They have an app to select what ones you want to use. I recently went there and had 4 items with coupons that I selected in the app. But only 2 were applied. I was told I would have to go to customer service to resolve which had a long line. I said look at that line to the cashier and she said that's your problem. Really?!?!?
I would jump to Sam's club or Costco in a heartbeat except the closet ones are over an hour away!

Credit customer service sucks

I went to gas station and tried to used my master card tell me he was declined i really pist off I never got my bill now is ridiculous the customer service they didn't want to help this credit card was mistake now I regret I open this credit I should kept the Costco visa i please contact me *******545 before I closed the membership at
If you I can't used my credit by tomorrow I will closed down I will never shop at bjs ever again you lose me as customer
You need to have better credit service because I am really disappointed with credit card if I can't use I will never ever renewal my membership card you definitely going to lose me as customer please call me at contact my Rosalie *******545 I need get my medicine by tomorrow I need this card to work

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, lack of employees and product issues plague this retail chain. Their Stratford CT location is amongst the worst, 45 minutes waiting at a deli department (after roaming staff and their own customer service call in number said someone would be by shortly) tells you all you need to know. Maybe someone should remind their awful general manager that unlike Walmart or Target Members PAY to be here and with that membership fee comes certain things we expect...people actually at their designated stations, customer service that knows what’s going on and a manger competent enough to handle issues when they are presented. What a joke

They renew your membership automatically without your authorization and take the amount of your bank account. Now try to get your money back been trying for 5 months Crooks.
